Dear Friends

I need to inform you about a devastating thing that happened over the weekend (I know in the context of of world disasters, it is insignificant!).  Me and my group of ceramic sculpture students participated in the Curious Creature Ceramic Sculpture Garden at Rust-en-Vrede in Durbanville concurrently with the CERAMICS SA National Exhibition.  Our installation was entitled ' Tea with ALICE in AFRICA'.

I received the news that my sculpture the 'MAD HATTER' was stolen  as well as the 'CHESHIRE MEERKAT' (a collaborative sculpture between Mary Simons and Delise).  It is unbelievable that a big sculpture weighing about 30 Kg and 80+ cm high and the other one at least 10Kg and 50+ cm high could be removed over a fence.

Please spread the message? So that we can try and recover it?
